What We Collect
When you submit a decision, we collect the text you enter, your selected settings, the generated judgment, votes, and basic technical information needed to run the site, prevent spam, and keep the service working.
The site uses your IP address to infer a broad country-level location so it can initially select a relevant family court. We do not use this feature to determine your precise location. Server logs may also record standard details such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps.
Cookies and Local Storage
We use a session cookie for essential site functions such as form security, CSRF protection, and rate limiting. This cookie is not used for advertising.
If you choose a different Family Vibe, we store that preference in a first-party cookie for up to one year so the same court remains selected on future visits from that browser. You can remove it by clearing this site’s cookies.
Your browser may also use sessionStorage to temporarily carry a pending judgment, keep anonymous share attribution until the tab closes for no more than 24 hours, and localStorage to remember whether you already voted on a judgment from that browser.
When you vote, we store a one-way per-case hash derived from the current session so the same session cannot repeatedly vote on one judgment. This vote-protection record cannot be used to compare your votes across different judgments and is removed if the judgment is permanently deleted.
We do not currently use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or analytics cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated.
First-Party Usage Analytics
We collect limited first-party events such as case submissions, successful generations, result and courtroom views, response chains, sharing actions, downloads, votes, reports, remixes, and visits from tagged share links. This helps us understand where the experience works or fails.
Analytics use the existing session cookie only. The session identifier is hashed before storage, and analytics records do not contain your raw session ID, IP address, browser user agent, decision text, or generated family reactions.
Tagged share links contain a random anonymous token so we can measure whether a share leads to a visit, vote, or new case. Raw analytics events are retained for up to 90 days and are not sent to a third-party analytics provider.
Public Judgments
Judgments are designed to be shareable. Submitted decision text, generated responses, scores, vote counts, and related share images or videos may be displayed publicly unless removed or hidden through moderation.
Submissions are public by default. Automated safety checks may hold a case from discovery and search indexing for review.
Please do not submit private, sensitive, confidential, medical, financial, legal, or identifying information that you would not want shown publicly.
How We Use Information
We use submitted information to generate and display judgments, create share previews, operate public leaderboards, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve the site experience.
Service Providers
Decision text, selected settings, and generated output may be sent to OpenRouter, our AI routing provider, to generate judgments. OpenRouter may route requests to model providers such as Google or other AI providers depending on availability, settings, and routing rules. Those providers process information under their own policies.
Your browser may also request fonts or other assets from third-party providers such as Google Fonts.
Choices and Requests
You can avoid sharing personal information by not including it in your decision text. You can report unsafe public content anonymously from its judgment page. If you want a judgment reviewed or removed, use the Request Deletion link or email [email protected].
Children
JudgeMyDecision.com is not intended for children under 13. Do not use the site or submit information if you are under 13.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the site changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
